The Riverwood Foundation is an independent non-profit voluntary association created to help address the urgent and increasing needs of the Riverwood College community.

Income Shortfall
Income Shortfall
Almost 50% of parents and guardians apply for partial or full fee exemption every year. This means that the College faces a growing annual financial deficit. This is not sustainable.
Limited State Support
Limited State Support
Less than half the staff members employed on campus are funded by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education. Despite this, the College continues to provide a wider range of academic subjects and co-curricular activities.

Riverwood College has to self-fund numerous essential academic, therapeutic, and co-curricular posts to cater to their students educational needs.
Reduced Alumni Support
Reduced Alumni Support
The merger that formed Riverwood College shifted traditional alumni support, leaving the school with less access to the trust funds, endowments, and financial legacies common to older institutions.

OUR SOLUTION
The Foundation is not only a response to the school's historical and financial limitations, but also a proactive strategy to support learners and families holistically—academically, emotionally, socially, and materially.
The Foundation’s work is designed to complement and extend the school’s efforts while maintaining full legal, financial, and operational independence. It will play a vital role in ensuring that Riverwood College’s vision for inclusive excellence can be sustained and realised for future generations.
The foundation will raise and manage funds to support various programmes that further its primary objective.
